UDig: Tell us a little bit about your background and your role at UDig.

SI: I’ve spent over 15 years in the consulting world, working with both small and large firms, and my career has been predominantly in the tech sector. Overall, I bring over 25 years of experience in technology to the table. My journey began in banking, but I’ve since had the opportunity to consult across multiple industries. 

As the Vice President of Client Success at UDig, my primary responsibility revolves around client engagement. This involves ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget. An essential part of my role is to build and maintain trust and strong partnerships with our clients. Currently, at UDig, we’re focusing on expanding the industries we partner with, leveraging our experience and team’s capabilities to achieve this goal. 

UDig: Why UDig? What made us the right decision for you?

SI: I have roots in smaller, private consulting firms where I experienced significant growth. I found myself yearning to return to a similar environment—one that echoed a private, personal, and family-like atmosphere. UDig stood out in this regard. In terms of client success, UDig offered more support, allowing for greater agility and fewer restrictions in our approach.  

This environment is vital for fostering strong client relationships and success in our projects. The opportunity at UDig caught my attention when a former coworker, familiar with my background and skills, pointed out a job opening here. They remarked, ‘this job description sounds like you.’ Upon learning more about UDig, I was drawn to the similarities it shared with my past experiences at smaller firms. It felt like coming full circle, back to an environment where I thrive. 

UDig: What does “accelerate your success” mean to you?

SI: To me, “accelerating success” is about fostering robust relationships both within our organization and with our clients, understanding everyone’s goals, and working synergistically towards them. This acceleration requires a thorough evaluation and the implementation of efficiencies across various facets of our operations – be it in finance, marketing, HR, or other areas. Identifying and seizing opportunities is key to propelling success forward. But beyond the operational aspects, at the heart of accelerating success is our focus on client satisfaction. It’s crucial for our clients to perceive us not just as a service provider, but as a trusted partner. 

UDig: In three years, what do you hope to see the Client Success team accomplish at UDig?

SI: My goal for the Client Success team is to drive year-over-year growth while forging key strategic partnerships across various verticals. It’s crucial that our clients feel a personal connection with our team, viewing us as their preferred partner. I envision a team that offers exceptional, ‘white glove’ service, focused not just on tasks but on the desired outcomes of our clients. We aim to be true consultants, sharing expertise both with our clients and internally, fostering a collaborative and outcome-oriented environment. 

UDig: What is your favorite procrastination tool?

SI: It’s definitely my phone. There’s a bit of irony in it, given my career in tech. It’s a gateway to endless learning and research, always tempting me to check out new things. 

UDig: What did you want to be when you grew up?

SI: Growing up, I was always fascinated by the banking and financial services sector, particularly the operational side. I also considered a role in the travel industry. This interest was influenced by my childhood experiences, as my parents owned a business, and I frequently visited the bank with them. I did in fact begin my career in banking, where I spent 12 years. 

UDig: What’s the most played song in your library?

SI: I listen to plenty of music, but it is probably “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N Roses – a classic hype song. 

UDig: How would you spend your day if you were told to take the day off?

SI: My ideal day off would probably be at the beach. The beach is my wife and I’s happy place, so if we lived closer, you’d find us at a Gulf beach. If I wasn’t able to travel, I’m fond of being outdoors in general, so I might do some landscaping or tidying up the yard.
